WeMakeLondon

Hi. I know that I haven't posted anything for ages but have been soooo.. busy. I am exhausted! Almost ready for WeMake tomorrow.  It's a biannual craft fair that takes place in you guessed it London. Woo Hoo! This time the venue will be Battersea Arts Centre on Lavender Hill.

Just need to pack a few things especially the camera so that hopefully there will be some great pics. Phew!..

Trippy New Design for Love Charm!

Just cut this an hour ago. It's the new design for my love charm soap! This time the swirl goes all the way through the bars.

This is a soap technique that I have been working on inspired by a love of Turkish art.

They smell absolutely gorgeous! Here's the soap in the mould.

Miro Soap

Went to the Miro exhibition at the Tate Modern recently. Was overwhelmed by Miro's use of colour. The colours are so vibrant and I love the way he used concentric circles in many of his paintings.

So I was inspired. I had a failed batch of Lemon Verbena lying around. Failed in that the soap traced so fast, instead of getting delicate swirly patterns I ended up with a mould full of blobbyness. Need less to say "waste not want not."

I made a variety of circles and cylinders and set them aside until I was ready.

Then I arranged some of them in the bottom of my mould.

I had made some lovely white soap scented with Cinnamon and Black Cardamom fragrance which I poured over the shapes.

Once the shapes were covered with soap, I arranged the rest of them on top.

Voilà all finished. Time to put this batch to gel!

Here are the finished bars. They smell gorgeous and are nice and chunky.

I also made some hearts.

We will be appearing at a number of exciting events this summer. You can find Kushmoma every Friday and Sunday at the popular Greenwich Market in London.

For those north of the river, we are planning to appear at the long established Lauderdale Arts and Craft Fair on July the 24th.

Hope to see you there!!

Midnight Sky

I love the violet fragrance used to scent this soap. It does smell like cherry bakewell tarts but the violet does come through. I haven't come up with a name yet but this does reminds me of the night sky.

Experimental Soap

Experimented with marbelling again to make theses 2 batches. The greeny/blue one is scented with love spell. It's a citrus type fragrance which is more sweet than sharp and lovely and fresh.

The second is fragranced with dragons blood but not as incensey as some versions of this fragrance. I hoped for a deeper red but I'm still quite pleased with the final result.

Some New Soap

Wow!! It's been some time since I've posted anything. Have been so busy with work and making new products.

Well I have made some new batches and reproduced what has become a best seller.

Noche de la Rosa has proved very popular. I have now completely sold out so a new batch is currently curing.
