Shards of Asgard

I present to you a chunk of Asgard to be marvelled at. The Bifrost bridge constructed from magic and ice has been shattered into a million pieces. Fortunately for us mere human beings shards of this marvellous construction have found their way to earth where we may treasure them and remember the beauty of Asgard.

I am so loving Norse legends at the moment and had to make something on this theme. Using black magic, purple berries, solar yellow, snow white, iridescent green and red violet micas. All from MicaMoma.

The xword will soon be here so I've started on my xmas box collection. I hope that you like them.

Enchanted Halloween Soap Tutorial

This is the tutorial for my latest Halloween soap. You can find it on www.micamoma.com and You tube. I've used a reverse bouquet technique and some great autumnal mica colours - black magic mica, apple green mica, snow white mica and a new orange.

Enchanted

With Autumn here and Halloween around the corner I just had to make something inspired by that special time of year. Made with Apple Green, Black Magic, Orange Carrot and Snow White micas.

The overall effect is quite cool and the pattern looks like clam shells. I will soon be posting a tutorial and the cut bars so watch this space...:)

Glamoured Tutorial (aka Fang Banger)

Okay guys so I have just posted the swirling tutorial for Prepare to be Glamoured on You tube. I have to confess that this soap is affectionately called Fang Banger in my house. It is so naughty but it just trips off the tongue too easily.

Mica Tests

We know that many of you were anxious to see how our micas look in CP soap. Well we've done some tests and have posted the results on MicaMoma.

From the photos you can see how well they turned out.

We will be updating these on a regular basis so keep checking.

Prepare to be Glamoured

Carrying on with the True Blood theme I came up with this little gem.

The challenge was to make something hypnotic and flame/blood like. Scented with a truly delicious blend of manly, cologne fragrance oils with a hint of citrus for some extra kick. I will post a tutorial on MicaMoma in tips and recipes very soon about how to make this beauty!

Sookie - Sweet Faery Soap

I am soooooo...addicted to True Blood. It's trashy I know but so entertaining. That Stackhouse girl was my inspiration for and old favourite - Sookiee... (Bill whispers)

Smells deliciously sweet and fruity. Lets face it that Sookie is sweet (was sweet she's a killer now) and definitely a bit fruity. Coloured with Red Violet, Azure, Ocean Blue, Snow White and Candy Pink Micas to delight the senses.

The swirl technique is called the "French Curl." Video coming sooon.. When I get a break from the day job. Woohooo.. Oh yes and the cut pics to follow.

Mica Shop is Now Open!

Hi All. Just opened the new mica shop. Phew! It's been hard work but now it's finally done. At Micamoma we have sourced some micas that hold up in CP soap especially. For years it has been a struggle to find stable CP soap micas but we have tested this selection at Micamoma and have had great results. They also work well in bath bombs, make up, glitter balms as well as craft projects to name a few.

In the coming weeks we will be posting tutorials, how tos and just loads of mica info as well as the usual stuff. So come back and take a look.

Get your mica at Kushmoma!

Hiya all. As a soaper you know how difficult it is to find good soap stable mica that can be used in you makeup as well. After pulling my hair out I decided to go and get my own stash of goodies. I think that I have picked some really vibrant colours and they will be on sale at very competitive prices super soooon. Guess what my new shop is going to be called. Wait for it.......MicaMoma. Ta da.

I knocked up these pics very quickly. Believe me they do not do the mica justice. When I have more time I will post better pics, technically challenged as I am. Need some natural light.

I will be selling the mica in sample packs, 10g, 50g and 100g. I can do more but you will need to contact me.

For a very limited period I will be offering FREE P&P to mainland UK, but you must contact me directly.

I am busy adding the final touches and should be good to go in a couple of days.

Fabulous Floral Boxes

After such a hectic few months the next 2 weeks should be spent doing lots of R and R. However I couldn't resist making these cute tray boxes with pretty floral lids.

I love this type of box because you can put anything in them, from soap (yes they are big enough) to earrings, necklaces, brooches, assorted bling, sweeties (candy) or any type of gift that will fit.

I am just tweaking them a little and then they should be on Etsy very soon!

Diggable Gable

Just made a few new gable boxes. I think matching soap boxes would be perfect. Not sure whether to go for pillow boxes or rectangular ones?
