Miro Soap

Went to the Miro exhibition at the Tate Modern recently. Was overwhelmed by Miro's use of colour. The colours are so vibrant and I love the way he used concentric circles in many of his paintings.

So I was inspired. I had a failed batch of Lemon Verbena lying around. Failed in that the soap traced so fast, instead of getting delicate swirly patterns I ended up with a mould full of blobbyness. Need less to say "waste not want not."

I made a variety of circles and cylinders and set them aside until I was ready.

Then I arranged some of them in the bottom of my mould.

I had made some lovely white soap scented with Cinnamon and Black Cardamom fragrance which I poured over the shapes.

Once the shapes were covered with soap, I arranged the rest of them on top.

Voilà all finished. Time to put this batch to gel!

Here are the finished bars. They smell gorgeous and are nice and chunky.

I also made some hearts.
